The Grande Marshall for the Chautauqua Parade is ...

The Wytheville Ruritans!!!

You've been to their booth every year. You've brushed the powdered sugar off your fingers (and your shirt, and your pants, and ...). For our 30thAnniversary Parade Grand Marshalls, who better to have than our favorite funnel cake makers. The Ruritans have been at Chautauqua as long as there's been a Festival in the Park and long before anyone learned how to spell Chautauqua. Join us Saturday morning at the parade (after the hot air balloons) as they kick off another great cellebration.

2014 Chautauqua Logo

Presenting the the new logo for the 2014 Chautauqua Festival! The retro touch celebrates the 30th anniversary and the image brings memories of the thrilling balloon flights
that kickoff the festivities!
Look Familiar? That's our own "Moonshine" lifting off on a clear Saturday morning flight. Dr. Mary will have "Moonshine" back this year along with several more of our favorite pilots. Bring your camera and the kids to the Glow Friday night (6/20) and let's start this thing off right!
